Davis Creek Campground in Washoe Valley has a nice 2 acre pond for fishing and Stijn wanted to try his skills once more.
And even though the smoke from the fires in California is still lying thick in the Truckee Meadows, I couldn't help but feel very lucky to live in such an amazing and beautiful area of Nevada.
Wishing you all a blessed Sunday!
Beautiful photos with lovely reflections in the still water, Debbie. Forest fires and grass fires are one of the reasons summer isn't my favorite season. I love spring best, then autumn.
ReplyDeleteWinter hasn't impressed me since I grew up and had to commute from the suburbs to Vancouver to work. Gone were the days of skating on frozen ponds, tobogganing down mountain roads, and drinking hot chocolate in front of roaring fires.
Hmm. Where did that little rant come from? I guess your mountain pond photos reminded me of being a teenager in the mountains of the British Columbia interior.

This is a beautiful place, even with the smoke in the air. I really like the reflections you've captured.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are very lucky! That area is beautiful.. Hope the wildfires stay away from you all.
ReplyDeleteHow did the fisherman do????? My youngest son and his wife love to go fishing.. So did my Dad.

Betsy
Oh he is trying so hard! No fish today! My grandpa loved fishing also! And my kids grew up fishing and loved it! Sadly I really don't know that much about it....I was always watching! hehe
